I am a UK Research and Innovation UKRI Future Leaders Fellow, and an EPSRC New Investigator Awardee, both awards are in electrical & digital power systems. My research group conducts interdisciplinary research on power system real-time control, planning and operation, energy system digitalisation, renewable power grid, low-inertia power systems, and transport electrification and grid integration.
I worked at National Grid UK for eight years (2021-2019), where I operated the UK electricity transmission systems in the Electricity National Control Centre. I returned to academic research as a directly appointed Senior Lecturer in Cranfield (2019) and Brunel University (2021). I became the Professor and Chair in Control and Power Systems at University of Sheffield (2023).
